Play65 & US Backgammon Federation Join Forces

Backgammon online room Play65 (http://www.play65.com) has announced collaborating with the US Backgammon Federation (USBGF), a non-profit organization set to spreading the 4000-years old backgammon game across the United States. “Play65 identifies with USBGF devotion to the backgammon game and is happy to sponsor the federation and encourage its players to join the USBGF and enjoy its benefits”, said a spokesperson of the popular online backgammon website.

Online backgammon pioneer Play65 joins respectable list of world-class backgammon players including former world backgammon champion and current giants of backgammon in becoming the founding sponsors of the United States Backgammon Federation. The US Backgammon Federation (http://usbgf.com/) was founded by backgammon enthusiasts from the US, who aim to advance “the awareness, participation, education and enjoyment of the skill-based game of backgammon”, by developing a National Rating System, setting standards for ethical play rules for fair play, and more.

Since its foundation in 2004, Play65 has been collaborating with live backgammon associations, leagues and tours worldwide. Play65 has been sponsoring various backgammon events, hosting online qualifiers for the most important competition in the circuit. Only in 2010, the online backgammon website has worked together with the Danish Backgammon Federation, the Swiss Backgammon Association, the Japanese Backgammon League and the World Backgammon Tour, and it plans to go on spreading the backgammon game as an enjoyable, social, competitive and ethical game both online and offline.
