New Moving Map Capabilities Include Worldwide Satellite Imagery, Ocean Topography and Polar Ice Views

PHOENIX -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced JetMap III, a new moving map upgrade featuring worldwide three dimensional perspective views of terrain, ocean topography, enhanced graphics, and polar ice views. JetMap III provides real-time flight data, passenger situational awareness information, and data services for news, business, weather, and sports.

“With JetMap III, we are not only improving the overall passenger experience, but with the addition of new Ovation® C-Series™ cabin management and inflight entertainment upgrades such as touch screen passenger control units (PCUs), Blu-ray video, high definition monitors, and iPod® docks, we can refresh the cabin as an interim step before a more costly complete interior refurbishment is done,” said Brian Sill, vice president, Aftermarket, Honeywell Aerospace. Originally designed for the Honeywell Ovation C-Series Cabin Management System, JetMap III can be easily adapted into non-Honeywell systems.

Current JetMap II users can upgrade to JetMap III through the simple replacement of the removable compact flash memory card. “Customers told us they are looking for ways to improve the passenger cabin experience without replacing the entire system,” Sill said.

JetMap III with three dimensional perspective maps allows passengers and crew to customize settings through the use of a handheld remote control. Passengers have the ability to turn features on and off, make changes to display pages and save settings both on the ground and in the air.

The first installation of JetMap III was completed this month on Honeywell’s Falcon 900. To learn more about Honeywell’s cabin management products go to www.ovationselect.com.
