Dan Dunmoyer appointed Head of Government and Industry Affairs for the Americas

Zurich - Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich) announces the appointment of Dan Dunmoyer (48, U.S. citizen) to the position of Head of Government and Industry Affairs (GAIA) for the Americas with immediate effect. In his new role, Mr. Dunmoyer will lead Zurich’s entire state and federal legislative and regulatory affairs activities in the Americas. He will report into Paul N. Hopkins, Regional Chairman of the Americas as well as Peter Buomberger, Zurich’s Group Head of GAIA, and will be located in Los Angeles, California.

Mr. Dunmoyer joined Zurich in December 2008 as Senior Vice President, Government and Industry Affairs and Head of State Legislative and Regulatory Affairs. Prior to joining Zurich, he held a variety of leadership roles in California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s administration, with Chief Cabinet Secretary and Deputy Chief of Staff being the most recent one. From 1996 until 2005 he worked in the private sector and was President and CEO of the Personal Insurance Federation of California.

Mr. Dunmoyer holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in public administration of the University of Southern California.
