TestAmerica Supports Columbus City Schools by Donating Lab Supplies for Science Education Programs

TestAmerica’s North Canton, Ohio laboratory responds to the request of a Special Education teacher, and donates lab supplies in an effort to support the Columbus City Schools’ science enrichment programs.

The donated items include beakers, test tubes, vials, gloves, pH strips, and pipettes, in favor of the science and engineering learning academies for K-12 grades. Columbus City Schools, established in 1845, is Ohio’s largest school district, serving the needs of more than 53,000 students. In 2009, U.S. News and World Report ranked the district’s high schools as 12th best in the nation.

“TestAmerica is an advocate for science education and it was our pleasure to also support the needs of these Special Education students, who have the opportunity for hands-on-learning. With this donation, we may spark a student to become a future scientist,” states Opal Davis Johnson, North Canton’s Laboratory Director.
