Cargotec Receives RoRo Equipment Order for Two High Speed Ferries

March 31, 2006 , Cargotec´s MacGREGOR business area providing marine cargo handling solutions has received a large RoRo access equipment order for two high speed ferries for the Norwegian ship owner Color Line. The equipment will be delivered in 2007-2008 and the value of the order is approximately EUR 9 million.

MacGREGOR will design and install bow doors and ramps, stern doors and ramps, hoistable tilting ramps, hoistable car decks, car deck access ramps and pilot and passenger doors. The ferries will be built at Aker Yards shipyard in Rauma, Finland.

The first vessel will be operated in Scandinavia between Kristiansand and Hirtshals, and the second vessel between Larvik and Hirtshals.
