North Carolina Genealogy Site Completes Query Forum Integration

WEBWIRE

NorthCarolinaGenealogy.net announced today that work has been completed on integrating the query forum threads into the county detail pages. The genealogy site has a page and forum for each county. Until now, the county forums were the only place to see posts from the respective county. This integration is going to make it easier for users to have their queries found. The county pages get more traffic currently than the forums, so this raises their visibility on the site and with the search engines.

Avery Parker, the site owner, was quoted to say; “This is a really exciting milestone for the site. We have been working to make the site more interactive so that the site visitors can post questions and reply to others that are searching for their ancestors and family in North Carolina. This added integration between the forum and the county pages is going to help people’s query posts be more visible and more likely to get a response. In a lot of ways, this is like bringing the community of the forum into the web site itself.”

Genealogy is the research of family history or ancestry and is one of the more popular hobbies today. The Internet has accelerated interest in family history as the resources necessary for research are easier to access than ever before. NorthCarolinaGenealogy.net specializes in organizing the genealogy resources available for the state of North Carolina and its 100 extant counties.

NorthCarolinaGenealogy.net has been around since 2001 providing resources and information on history and genealogy as it relates to North Carolina. The North Carolina Genealogy Query Forum is about to celebrate it’s fifth anniversary.
