Tieto establishes a Centre of Excellence for Oil and Gas in Russia

In line with Tieto’s strategy to grow its business in Russia, the company establishes an Energy Components Centre of Excellence for the Oil and Gas industry in Russia. Tieto sees good growth opportunities and high demand for its production management system Energy Components.

Tieto has made several Energy Components deliveries in Russia and CIS countries and is now taking the next step to ensure improved proximity to current and future Russian oil and gas customers. The Moscow office is part of Tieto’s global Oil and Gas organization, ensuring excellent competence availability and support to the business in Russia.

Energy Components is the world-leading production management and hydrocarbon accounting software, selected as the global best practice by major oil and gas companies including ExxonMobil, Shell, BP, Chevron and ConocoPhillips.

Trond Arve Pettersen, Head of Energy Components, says: “We see huge market demand for our Energy Components software world-wide.
