Symantec Extends Agreement with HP to Distribute Norton Internet Security on Consumer PCs Worldwide

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) announced the signing of a multi-year extension to its existing contract with HP, the world’s largest PC manufacturer. Under the terms of the agreement, HP consumer desktop, laptop and netbook PCs will ship worldwide with a full-featured, complimentary 60-day subscription of Norton Internet Security, the industry’s fastest, lightest security suite.

Norton Internet Security detects and eliminates online threats and prevents cybercriminals from stealing consumers’ identity and hard-earned cash, so they can surf, shop, and bank online safely. Norton Internet Security also features the industry leading reputation-based security technology, which has been proven to attain unmatched detection of new malware far beyond what is possible with traditional security technologies.
