Woman&Home Partners The Bobby Moore Fund For World Cup Fundraiser

WEBWIRE

woman&home, the monthly glossy for contemporary 35-plus women, is partnering with the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK to raise funds for the charity during the World Cup.

The partnership will see woman&home encourage readers to get cooking and fundraise by holding a World Cup Feast for family and friends – the idea being for them to ask for their guests for small donations at their gatherings. To inspire them, England players, other sportsmen and women, celebrities, top chefs and chefs at many Premier League and Championship clubs have shared their favourite recipes.

As well as promoting the cause in the magazine, woman&home has created a dedicated World Cup Feasts hub at womanandhome.com/worldcupfeasts. The site includes recipes, fundraising packs, World Cup wines and beers, plus a Bluffer’s Guide to the tournament for those who don’t know their football.

The Team England captain Steven Gerrard, plus Jermain Defoe, Robert Green, John Terry, Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver, Karren Brady, Lisa Snowdon and Carol Vorderman are among the top chefs, footballers and celebrities who have shared recipes.

Editorial director Sue James says: “woman&home readers like nothing more than getting together with friends and family over good food and wine. The icing on the cake is for their entertaining to be in aid of a good cause so they are going to love the idea of World Cup Feasts.”

Stephanie Moore MBE, founder of the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK, adds: “I’m thrilled that we’re working with woman&home readers and think the World Cup Feast is a brilliant initiative. Every penny raised will help us with our work to reduce the prevalence and mortality rate of bowel cancer. This really will make a lasting difference.”

woman&home has a history of charity fundraising, including a five-year partnership with Breast Cancer Care, which, through woman&home readers, has raised more than £3.5million.
