CINCINNATI, March 28, 2006 — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) today announced the first worldwide sales and shipments of its new IconMaster™ system for master control with embedded multi-layer branding. IconMaster™ orders have been received from broadcast customers in every region of the world, including CKSA-TV (NewCap) in Canada; CBS affiliates WROC-TV (Nexstar Broadcast Group Inc.) and KKTV-11 News (Gray Television Group Inc.) in the United States; Viasat Sport 1 (MTG Broadcast Centre) in Sweden; Milan Channel (AC Milan) in Italy; and the soon-to-launch MM TV news channel (Malayala Manorama) in India.

“We chose the IconMaster system because it enables us to meet both our current and future master control and branding requirements,” said Raymond Green, chief engineer for NewCap’s mid-west broadcasting division. “With its integrated, multi-layer branding capabilities, IconMaster™ will immediately upgrade our station and our on-air look. As our broadcasting needs grow into the HD world, its HD support will enable us to easily transition with no added costs or hardware needed. And we have the reputation and reliability of a great company to provide support along the way.”

“Our unique requirements for our main sports channel, Viasat Sport 1, were fulfilled with IconMaster™, because its features enabled us to use it as both a master control and production mixer,” said Stefan Hammarlund, project manager, MTG Broadcast Centre. “Its flexible audio capabilities and logical control panel, which was built to handle many years of daily, active use, were exactly what we wanted — simplifying our operations considerably. The IconMaster system surpassed our expectations by also being an integrated branding solution. Now, one operator can be in full control of the automation and branding, mixing between all twelve sources for Viasat Sport 1, thus enabling a complex, live workflow that is both cost effective and logical.”

Based on the industry-leading Leitch NEO™ modular platform, IconMaster™ combines critical master control functions with multi-layer integrated branding. It is the only master control that can be combined with other advanced applications, such as the Leitch NEO™ SuiteView™ multi-viewer series or the Leitch NEO™ XHD up, down, cross and M-Path (multi-path) converter series, to create the ultimate plug-and-play system — all in the same frame. The IconMaster system also supports internal routing using NEO routing modules and/or external routing with Leitch or third-party routers. Unique in the marketplace, IconMaster™ is fully configurable between SD and HD formats in the field and without the need for expensive upgrades or replacements.

The Icon™ family of products and integrated applications for master control and branding also includes the IconStation™ master control graphics and channel presentation system, and IconLogo™, a modular branding solution based on the NEO platform. The IconLogo solution is field upgradeable from SD to HD and even to a full IconMaster™.

“We are very pleased with the fast adoption rate IconMaster™ has enjoyed across the industry since it premiered in September 2005 at the International Broadcasters Conference (IBC) in Amsterdam,” said Tim Thorsteinson, president for Harris Broadcast Communications Division’s Leitch Business Unit. “The influx of orders we’ve received from around the world demonstrates how broadcasters have rapidly recognized the unique features the IconMaster system offers over the competition. We’re happy to begin shipping the system so our customers can take advantage of the significant benefits it brings to their operations as they transition to digital and HDTV.”
