Mutual Fund Site Announced May Is Small Cap Funds Review Month

The Mutual Fund Site (www.mutualfundsite.org) announced today that May is Small Cap Review month. Over the course of the month, the Mutual Fund Site will be reviewing Ten (10) of the Top Ranked, best performing funds and analyzing each for their strengths and weaknesses. Site visitors are encouraged to offer feedback on site.

“We are seeing that mutual fund investors are currently reviewing their portfolios and, with an added emphasis on proper asset allocation, realize that a small cap component can enhance total portfolio performance,” said Christopher Fitch, the site founder.

The small cap sector often out-performs the broader index in periods of economic expansion, Fitch elaborated. “If you happened to look at the Russell 2000, you would quickly understand the long-term benefits to holding small cap investments. The trick is choosing the right one.”

That is where the Mutual Fund Site hopes to help. With Ten of the top performing and top ranked Small Cap funds reviewed this month, the Mutual Fund Site’s goal is to help investors narrow the field of potential mutual fund investments.

“We not only comment on the fund in plain English, but we examine three of the funds Top 10 holdings and see what they can offer. Investors can make better investment decisions as a result,” Fitch explained.

To date, the Mutual Fund Site has reviewed two small cap funds, meaning they will review another eight, or between 2 and 3 each week for the rest of the month.
