Innovative gateways recognized for enabling Microsoft solutions

Parsippany, New Jersey - Dialogic Corporation (“Dialogic”), a global provider of world-class products and technologies for media and signal processing, announced that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC®) has named the Dialogic® 4000 Media Gateway Series (DMG4000) as a recipient of its 2009 Unified Communications magazine Product of the Year Award.

DMG4000 Gateways are a set of integrated systems used to connect the unified communications software solutions, Microsoft® Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and Microsoft® Exchange Server Unified Messaging, to virtually any IP or PSTN network, PBX systems and legacy communications infrastructure. Built on a powerful Windows Server® 2008 server platform, the DMG4000 gateways can host Microsoft unified communications server roles, and complimentary third party applications in a single physical device supporting voice, data and fax communications protocols, bridging IP and traditional circuit switched networks.

Exactive Ltd, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner that provides businesses with best in class unified communications and IT infrastructure solutions in the UK, recently won a contract with a government agency in South Ayrshire, Scotland to deploy scores of DMG4000 gateways with the Microsoft unified communications solutions. Supporting over 3,000 users across 65 locations, this will be one of the largest Microsoft unified communications deployments in the UK at completion. “Dialogic offers a complete package of market leading gateway products, service and support, which ultimately makes our system integration job easier” states Scott Millar, Director of Unified Communications at Exactive. “Our customer values the price performance and efficiency of the DMG4000 as an integrated system, as well as the software migration path to support the latest advances in Microsoft unified communications in a single device. In their words - ‘these devices do what they say on the tin’ - which means they perform exactly as advertised.”

As Microsoft makes preparations to release the next generation of its unified communications solution, Microsoft® Communications Server ‘14’, Dialogic recently announced that the DMG4000 gateways will provide a software migration path to become Survivable Branch Appliances, running the new Microsoft Communications Server ‘14’ software at remote offices and supporting the local office connectivity with no traditional PBX system being required.

“At Dialogic, we are committed to providing our customers with high quality, cost effective tools to enable unified communications features across telephony networks,” said Jim Machi, senior vice president of marketing, Dialogic. “This award further validates our efforts as a leading provider of innovative unified communications technology.”

“Dialogic has consistently proven its dedication to quality and excellence though the development of innovative products which support the needs in the marketplace,” stated Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “We are pleased to honor the DMG4000 with a 2009 Product of the Year Award and look forward to seeing continued advancement in technology solutions from Dialogic in the future.”
