Diane Gooch NJ 6th District Candidate Adds New Endorsements

Diane Gooch, the Monmouth County Republican Vice Chair and newspaper publisher, received the endorsement of the 12th Legislative District Assembly Members in her bid for Congress from New Jersey’s 6th district.

Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande and Assemblyman Declan O’Scanlon, whose district covers portions of Monmouth County, both called Gooch the right candidate at the right time to replace Pallone, a 22 year incumbent and career politician. Senator Jennifer Beck, from the 12th legislative district, was among the first to publicly endorse Gooch’s candidacy several weeks ago.

Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande pointed to Gooch’s credentials earned in the private sector as well as her passionate defense of the American Dream that is being threatened by the policies supported by Nancy Pelosi and Frank Pallone. “Diane is the best person to make the case in defending the American Dream because she is a product of it. Her experiences creating jobs and working in business, both big and small, give her a perspective on our economic challenges that very few in Washington seem to understand” said Casagrande. She concluded, “Diane brings a sincere voice and new face than the politics as usual that the people are tired of.”

Assemblyman Declan O’Scanlon added, “There is no better time for someone with Diane’s experience and abilities. Voters are completely frustrated with the lack of balance in Washington, which has effectively been under one-party rule. This has resulted in the rapid expansion of the federal government, which is unacceptable to the American people.”

He concluded, “Our best recourse is at the ballot box, which will make this year an extraordinary one for candidates like Diane Gooch. The contrast between a private citizen versus a career politician who toes the party line 99.2% of the time and has fashioned himself as a Washington insider gives the people a clear choice in this election.”

Gooch has earned the support of the Republican organizations in Middlesex, Monmouth and Somerset counties. She has also received the endorsements of several other Monmouth County legislators, including Senators Joseph Kyrillos and Sean Kean, as well as Assembly Members Sam Thompson, Amy Handlin, David Rible and Mary Pat Angelini.

Responding to the endorsements, Gooch stated, “I continue to be humbled by this strong show of support from leaders like Assemblywoman Casagrande and Assemblyman O’Scanlon. They understand the concerns of our residents and I look forward to working with them to give the people a voice that represents their interests in Washington.”

The 6th congressional district includes parts of Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset and Union counties.
