Chromosomal Laboratories Increases Workforce By 11% to Keep Up With Increased Demand for Paternity Testing

As the marketplace tries to recover from the economic downturn and businesses are slow to hire additional employees, Chromosomal Laboratories, Inc. increased its workforce by 11% in the month of March.

“The unemployment rate is the highest in recent memory. Chromosomal Laboratories, Inc. has seen steady growth for the past six years in all areas of DNA analysis, from forensic DNA, to infidelity to paternity testing which has had the largest growth so far this year. Chromosomal Laboratories has seen a 28.7% increase in relationship cases from December 2009 to through February 2010.

Paternity testing is often sought by a parent(s) to obtain either child support or custody of their children, but what most people might not know is that paternity testing is also used in large part for immigration into the United States. United States citizens can petition for their spouses, parents, children or siblings to immigrate to the United States and permanent residents can do so for their spouses and unmarried children. In most cases there are sufficient written records to validate relationships and satisfy the requirements of the U.S. Citizen and immigration Services Department. If more evidence of a biological relationship is needed, a voluntary DNA test may be advised.
