Gain an edge in creating championship tournament brackets

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - FileMaker and Bracket Science have teamed up to deliver an exciting bracket resource titled “Bracket Science Slam Dunk Charts by FileMaker Pro 11.” The Facebook page gives college basketball fans a competitive edge in creating their championship tournament brackets thanks to FileMaker Pro 11, the best-selling easy-to-use database software, which now features integrated charting.

Fans will see a variety of daily charts, produced by the new FileMaker Pro 11 and they can select and share the charts that they find most useful in building their tourney brackets.

Bracket Science Slam Dunk Charts by FileMaker Pro 11 will be available March 11 to March 31, 2010.

Pete Tiernan, founder of Bracket Science and a regular-season sports analyst on CBSSports.com, will post notes and an analysis of the charts. Each day a new chart will be posted on Facebook and other social networks — a total of 10—that will cover everything from seed advancement rates by round to average seed wins per appearance and top 10 coach, team and conference winning percentages and overachievement rates, providing a wealth of information for fans predicting the tournament outcomes.

The data displayed on the Bracket Science Facebook page is produced by Bracket Science and the Bracketmaster database is powered by FileMaker Pro 11. BracketScience.com is a site rich in tournament historical data and is where thousands of fans try to forecast results every year.

Bracket Science has also created special game groups on Facebook’s most active bracket selection apps. Fans have the chance to select their team brackets, thanks to the charts, while interacting with Pete and other fans. The Facebook App Site Groups can be found at:
