Turkish Airlines announces its big deal

Turkish Airlines, a Star Alliance member, announces today that the airline decides to add 35 Boeing 737NG airplanes to its fleet, 20 jets certain and 10 jets optional

Being the fastest growing carriers of the world, Turkish Airlines became one of the biggest airline companies in the aviation industry. New aircraft are announced to be joined to our fleet.

The most rapidly expanding airline company, Turkish Airlines is continuing to increase its share in the global aviation market and the airline’s Board of Directors as announced before 105 airplanes, 30 jets optional, will be joined to the fleet. According to the decision of the Board Directors today, 35 airplanes of Boeing 737, 20 jets definite, 15 jets optional will be delivered. The airplanes, Boeing 737-800 and 737-900 ER, will take place in our fleet and the “Sky Interior” inside the cabins.

With this decision the jets in the fleet of Turkish Airlines which will be delivered, increase to total number of 86, 64 jets definite, 25 jets optional.

By the end of 2015, the number of single aisle jets in the fleet of Turkish Airlines will increase to 155 and the number of twin aisle aircraft will rise to 36 with the deal of these new jets. The total number of aircraft in the fleet of Turkish Airlines will reach to total of 196 aircraft, 5 of them cargo airplane.
