WEBWIRE

Charlotte, NC (Thursday, January 28, 2010) - James “Bonecrusher” Smith became the first college graduate, to ever win a Heavyweight World Championship boxing title. The Champ recently expressed admiration for another young upcoming champion. He is Nascar driver, Danny Efland (#07) because of his own commitment to graduate from college. While Efland has been passionately racing on the Nascar circuit, he continues to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, at the University Of South Carolina.

According to Bonecrusher, “Most athletes today will forget their education, and bet everything on one quick ride to fame and fortune" Bonecrusher will be pulling for Danny Efland, in the new season of Nascar Nationwide Series Racing. Efland will debut his own RCR car February 20th, at the Fontana, California race. Fans will be pleased when it unveils with the new #07 for the first time.

Bonecrusher Smith retired from boxing in 1999. He was inducted into the Carolina Boxing Hall of Fame, April 13, 2007 at Lowes Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. Today, the Champ maintains a busy calendar, as a coveted motivational speaker for corporate conventions, and schools.
