New version of MVTS II: Enhanced profitability monitoring

Toronto, ON - MERA Systems announces a new release of MVTS II, its flagman softswitch with billing functionality. The release 1.3.1 provides advanced capabilities for interaction with customers and vendors, calls routing and overall System operation, monitoring and troubleshooting.

The key advantage of the new version is an improved profitability monitoring tool. New capabilities will allow users to increase their revenues and prevent financial losses. Special emphasis was laid on the operating convenience of the solution and functionalities that automate routine tasks of the System operators.

In addition to the profitability notification and restriction thresholds, which previously could be set only for destination records, thresholds can now be set for customer authentication and dial peer records. Another important novelty is the possibility to impose connection charges.

Telcos’ customers will surely enjoy the new feature that allows them to make free bonus calls. Now MVTS II users can offer their clients a certain amount of monthly free traffic, which can vary from destination to destination. On the other hand, System users can now limit amounts of traffic terminated through a dial peer within a certain period. Once the limit is reached, the System excludes it from routing until the next period begins.

Preparation of new rate plans was totally revised. The new version comes with an updated mechanism which drastically simplifies the rate plan maintenance routine.

MVTS II version 1.3.1 provides for easy subscription to System notifications. Subscription to all System notifications is now performed through a single form, which is very convenient, especially when adding new users to the DB. Also, notification templates became customizable. Now users can edit subjects of notifications, notification bodies and bodies of grouped notifications.

All in all, the new MVTS II version 1.3.1 comes with major improvements, many of which were implemented upon request of MERA’s customers.
