LOS ANGELES December 7 –A Clinical Gerontology specialization is now being offered at the Eisner Institute for Professional Studies. Founder Dr. Don Eisner says: “We are now offering dynamic programs in the area of Clinical Geropsychology. With the increased life span, Clinical Gerontology and Geropsychology is a rapidly developing field.” The courses include: Multicultural Aspects of Aging, Psychology of Death and Dying, Public Policy and Aging, Cognitive and Neuropsychological Asssessment.
Additionally, EIPS has a new Masters of Arts(MA) in psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT )and in Licensed Professional Counseling(LPC). In California the MFT and LPC programs fulfil the requirements to sit for licensure.
For students with a B.A. degree, Eisner Institute for Professional Studies has a three year combination MA/Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Clinical Geropsychology Health Psychology And Parapsychology. The doctoral programs can be completed in two years.
The programs are completely on-line. There is no residency requirements. The Capstone or final project is either a research proposal or a position paper. There is no Dissertation or Thesis. Tuition is payable on a quarterly basis.
