WAYNE, NJ - Fujinon introduced the new 75-400mm T2.8-T3.9 PL mount zoom lens (model number HK5.3x75) at the International Broadcast Equipment Exhibition (Inter BEE 2009) in Chiba City, Japan on November 18.

As the second lens in the Series, the 75-400mm joins a growing family of PL mount zoom lenses from Fujinon. “The 75-400mm offers an impressive telephoto focal range, fast T-stops and unsurpassed optical performance,” said Hank Hayashi, President and CEO, Fujinon, Inc. “We have received great feedback on the new series from Rental House Facilities, Directors of Photography, Camera Operators, and Assistants. Fujinon listens closely to suggestions from the industry. It has enabled us to build better lenses.”

Fujinon released the first lens in the series at NAB 2009, the 18-85mm T2.0 (Model Number HK4.7x18F). Now available for purchase, the 18-85mm can also be rented from a growing number of top Rental House Facilities. Four lens models comprise Fujinon’s PL Series: 18-85mm T2.0 (available now); 75-400 mm T2.8-T3.9 (available now); 24-180mm T2.6 (available January 2010); and the 14.5-45mm T2.0 (available April 2010).

Fujinon’s new PL zoom lenses are designed to maximize performance on either film or digital cinematography cameras, offering speeds and focal ranges not available in a zoom family before. With unprecedented color-matched optical performance, all four zoom lenses share common (136mm) front barrel diameter, consistent gear position, and production-friendly size/mass. Fujinon’s PL Series zooms are fast, providing new creative possibilities and cost savings with production lighting requirements.
