The New Jersey Advanced Wellness Center Launches Its Innovative Pain Relief Division

Marlboro, New Jersey (November 16, 2009) – Finding effective pain relief procedures for acute and chronic pain has now become easier to the residents of Monmouth County from the New Jersey Center of Spine and Pain Management (NJSPM) at Advance Wellness. The New Jersey Center of Spine and Pain Management (NJCSPM) at Advance Wellness is an accredited pain medicine, rehabilitation, and pain management medical center and a division of the New Jersey Advanced Wellness Center. Medical director of Advanced Wellness, Gary L. Yen, M.D. is board certified in Physical Medical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. Dr. Yen grew up in Long Island, NY and subsequently received his medical degree from Ross University.

He completed his intern-ship in Internal Medicine at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Stony Brook University. Dr. Yen went on to complete a pain medicine fellowship at Rehab NY in Buffalo, NY. During his fellowship training, he was the assistant athletic trainer to the Buffalo Bison which is the minor league AAA baseball team for the Cleveland Indians and the Niagara University Men’s and Women’s Collegiate Hockey team. Dr. Yen is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, New Jersey Society of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and the International Spine Intervention Society. He was also awarded Top Physician in New Jersey in 2008.
