Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire DVD Sells Approximately 5 Million Units on Day-One

Fans across the globe have been swept up by the magic of J.K. Rowling’s enormously popular books and most recently made Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire a major theatrical success with a worldwide box office gross of over $890 million. Brisk DVD consumer sales are expected to continue through Spring making the Harry Potter film franchise one of the best selling DVD franchises in history.

Principal photography on the fifth film adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s beloved Harry Potter novel series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, commenced on February 6th at England’s Leavesden Studios. The film will be released in 2007.

Synopsis
