Secaucus, NJ, The Panasonic 360° Quick™ Multidirectional Steam/Dry Iron has received a 2010 Innovations Award in the Home Appliances category from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).

The Innovations Awards program, which operates in conjunction with the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) ®, recognizes products that exemplify excellence in design and engineering based on innovation, value, aesthetics, and contribution to consumers’ quality of life. Winning products are chosen by an independent panel of judges comprised of industrial designers, engineers and members of the technology trade press.

The Panasonic Iron, model # NI-W750TS, is one of three steam/dry irons in the 360° Quick™ Iron line introduced in September 2009. Panasonic’s 360° Quick Irons feature an oversized elliptical soleplate pointed on both ends to enable up to 25% faster ironing. Additionally, the surface of the soleplate is slightly curved outward, making side-to-side movements smooth and easy. Removing wrinkles in any direction is now possible through a natural ergonomic ironing motion.

"We are proud that the unique new design of the Panasonic 360° Quick Iron has been recognized by the CEA for its engineering, aesthetic qualities and useful features – as we were dedicated to improve the ironing process by redesigning the conventional iron,” said Dan Silver, Director, Home Appliance Group, Panasonic Home & Health Company. “The 360° Quick line of irons is another example of how Panasonic’s “ideas for life” philosophy provides consumers with distinctive products.”

The Panasonic 360° Quick Iron will be displayed during the 2010 International CES®, from January 7-10, 2010 in Las Vegas, NV in the Innovations 2010 Showcase, located in the Las Vegas Convention Center Grand Lobby.
