ROCHESTER, N.Y., March 08, 2006 -- Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) has been selected as one of “100 Companies That Matter in Knowledge Management” by KMWorld magazine. The publication based this selection on the quality and effectiveness of Xerox’s DocuShare™ 4.0.1 software, a secure, Web-based enterprise content management system.

In the March 2006 issue of KMWorld, which is targeted toward professionals in the content, document and knowledge management markets, Xerox is recognized as a company that transforms and improves the way organizations work through knowledge management systems, solutions and services. This annual listing is assembled by knowledge management practitioners, theorists, vendors, their customers, analysts and editors from KMWorld.

“Our listing is created to encourage a broader discussion of knowledge management and recognize those companies with the capacity for agile innovation,” said Hugh McKellar, editor-in-chief, KMWorld. “We chose Xerox’s DocuShare 4.0.1 offering for its effective business solutions and demonstrated leadership in the ECM market.”

DocuShare 4.0.1 is a collaborative tool that helps knowledge workers capture, review, approve, manage and publish various types of content. DocuShare is easy to use and deploy, and it enables organizations to easily retain and re-use their internal knowledge.

“DocuShare takes the mystery out of knowledge management with an ECM solution that is intuitive and fast to implement,” said David Smith, vice president and general manager, Xerox DocuShare Business Unit. “This KMWorld recognition demonstrates how far Xerox has come in successfully solving our customers’ knowledge management problems so they can achieve their critical business objectives.”

This is the fourth time Xerox has been included on the KMWorld “100 Companies That Matter” list since it began in 2000.

Xerox offers a wide range of knowledge management services that help companies understand the way their employees work, allowing them to protect intellectual property, improve productivity and stay ahead of their competitors.
