Auto Fill Systems are Now Available on Select Indoor Water Fountains and Waterfalls

Auto fill and drain systems cut the maintenance of indoor water fountains to a minimum. They keep the fountains full of water and ensure that the water is always clean.

Indoor waterfalls are natural humidifiers which release moisture into the air as water cascades down the fountain surface panels. The water level on a manually filled feature needs to be checked periodically to ensure the level never goes lower then the pump.

Low water level will burn out the water pump which will require a new pump be purchased and installed. Manually filled fountains will require distilled water be used which will necessitate a supply be kept on hand for refilling.

Specific options on auto filled indoor fountains differ depending upon model, but some common options include:

*Float valve
*Drain pump and hose with all fittings to connect to PEX in wall
*Electronic solenoid valve to install in utility room or at water source
*Timer module with power cord and mounting box for solenoid
*Drain switch on fountain

A clean source of water needs to be available for an indoor water fountain.

On many floor and wall water fountains an RO system is included with the auto fill and drain. The RO system will clean the water supply through reverse osmosis. If an RO is not used a filtering method for the incoming city must be attached.

A soft water system in the house or business can be used if no RO system is available. It can be a water supply to the fountain and provide a clean water source for the whole house.

The auto fill and drain system makes timer module open and close the solenoid daily topping off the reservoir. The drain pump system enables the reservoir to be easily emptied without having to use a bucket and you will find that the water is always clean. Sometimes a switch can come on the waterfall. The switch is activated and the drain pump will take the water up and out.
