Annual report ranked #3 in world for second year running
TELUS named to Down Jones Sustainability World Index for ninth year

Vancouver, B.C. – TELUS has been honoured for providing investors one of the world’s best annual reports. TELUS’ annual report placed third in this year’s prestigious Annual Report on Annual Reports, becoming the only company that has been in the top 10 for six straight years.

“This repeat top 10 ranking confirms again that the quality and transparency of stakeholder disclosure by TELUS is at best-in-class levels as measured on a global basis,” said Robert McFarlane, TELUS executive vice-president and chief financial officer. “This result reflects the high caliber, positive culture and high performance attributes of the TELUS team involved in preparing our annual report.”

The Annual Report on Annual Reports is the only international ranking of corporate annual reports and is in its 13th year of surveying reports from around the world. E.com, the Belgium-based organization owned by U.S. Corporate Essentials, Inc., uses an independent, international rating panel to judge the annual reports and publishes the rankings for the top 300.

TELUS is one of only six companies in the world to earn an A+ rating this year, one of only 12 Canadian companies on the list of the top 300 annual reports and was also ranked third best in the world last year.

This year’s judges cited TELUS for its ‘striking’ management discussion and analysis saying, “it is well structured, written in plain language and addresses performance and financial conditions with unparalleled clarity and substance.” The TELUS report was also commended as an excellent example for its style, financial clarity, goals, targets, outlook and financial review.

TELUS named to global sustainability index

The Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) has ranked TELUS among the world’s leading companies in terms of sustainability. DJSI World highlights the top 10 per cent of the 2,500 largest companies in the world based on long-term economic, environmental and social criteria. This is the ninth consecutive year TELUS has made the index and once again, TELUS is the only North American telecommunications company on the list and one of just 11 Canadian companies included in the global index.
