ARE THERE REALLY ANY ORIGINAL IDEAS LEFT?

Or is the best we can do is to build upon some ideas and improve upon others? I googled this question and my take on the general consensus is that while there are those who are sure that there are original ideas out there, the majority of folks also out there also question the existence of original ideas. Its what you do with that idea that may be original.

With Hollywood remaking remakes and all the others attempting to reinvent the wheel, even companies licensing products exhort us to “pursue your idea before someone else does”. After all is said and done, even Leigh and Baigent will likely profit nicely as there book, “Holy Blood, Holy Grail”, already a bestseller in the 1980’s, is once again climbing the charts. An original marketing idea on their part?
