EMI expands its relationship with Century Media

EMI to distribute Century Media artists in the additional territories of Japan, Korea and Australia

EMI takes on digital distribution for Century in the UK, Europe and key Pacific Rim territories beginning 2010

Will include Century Media’s newly-affiliated labels InsideOutMusic and SuperballMusic

Cologne, Germany.- EMI Music’s Label Services division and Century Media Records, one of the world’s most renowned and successful labels in progressive rock/metal, post-rock and alternative music, have expanded their relationship around the world. EMI will assume physical and digital distribution of Century Media’s roster of artists in Australia and New Zealand, in addition to the North American, UK and Continental European, South African and Middle East territories where EMI already distributes Century Media Records. Century Media’s artists include Lacuna Coil, In This Moment and Winds of Plague.

In addition to physical distribution, EMI Label Services will take on digital distribution for Century Media in the UK, Continental Europe, South Africa, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. EMI will also handle digital distribution for Japan and Korea (EMI Label Services added digital distribution services for Century in North America in January 2009).

Following Century Media’s recently announced worldwide partnership with InsideOutMusic and SuperballMusic, EMI will now distribute the rosters for these two prominent labels featuring established and up-and-coming artists in the progressive rock/metal, post-rock and alternative genres. InsideOut’s roster includes Transatlantic, as well as Oceansize; both with releases slated to hit the European market on October 26th. Additional InsideOut/Superball releases for 2009 include a new DVD from Kansas, and new albums from Redemption, INME, Native Window, Kings X, Shadow Gallery, Devin Townsend and The Tangent. Also expected for 2010 are new albums by Fates Warning, Pain Of Salvation and, for European territories, …And You Will Know Us By The Trail of the Dead.
