Delphi focused on delivering close to 1,000 new Chassis part numbers in 2009

PARIS, France — Delphi is further strengthening its Chassis portfolio, which includes Braking, Steering and Suspension products, by recently introducing nearly 620 new part numbers with plans for an additional 350 new part numbers by year end.

“Delphi is known for offering an industry leading range of Chassis products in the Independent Aftermarket,” said Lucia Moretti, vice president, Delphi Product & Service Solutions, Europe, Middle-East and Africa. “Expanding our range is a focused, strategic effort to ensure our customers’ needs are met for today and in the future.”

In 2009, Delphi has already introduced 167 brake calipers, 200 brake hoses, 80 brake discs, 123 brake pads, 25 brake shoes & 23 fitting kits within its braking portfolio. These additions take the Delphi braking portfolio to over 9,000 part numbers. New applications include Mazda CX-7 2007, Opel / Vauxhall Insignia 2008, new Ford Fiesta 2008, Peugeot 308 2008, and the Peugeot Bipper 2007. This clearly demonstrates Delphi’s ability and intent to be “first to market” with many new parts. While these vehicles are still covered by the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty making them available in Delphi’s range today provides additional repair opportunities to independent garages.

All of the new parts are in stock and available today and are featured in the latest European Friction catalogue, which was released in September 2009. In addition, all of the new parts are available in electronic catalogues such as Tec Doc, where Delphi continues to be a “Certified A-Class Supplier of Data.”
