To be Named to HRC’s “Best Places to Work” Annual List

NEW YORK – Time Warner has once again earned the top rating of 100 in the 2010 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), an annual survey administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, and will be recognized on HRC’s annual “Best Places to Work” list. The Human Rights Campaign is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality.

Lisa Quiroz, Time Warner’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Responsibility, said: “Time Warner is proud to be recognized once again by the HRC for our commitment to equality and maintaining an open and inclusive workplace for our employees. This honor recognizes our efforts to ensure that we have created a workplace where all people can thrive and contribute to our company’s success.”

The CEI rates employers on a scale from 0 to 100 based on their policies and practices pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers and investors. Among the criteria for the CEI are the presence of comprehensive domestic-partner benefits, transgender benefits and guidelines, diversity training that covers sexual orientation and transgender issues, a LGBT resource group for employees, and support of the LGBT community. A company’s score determines its ranking in HRC’s annual “Buying for Equality” Guide, and businesses that achieve the 100 rating are recognized in HRC’s annual “Best Places to Work” list.
