Ironwood Maine Advisory Council Member named Auburn’s Outstanding Citizen of the Year

Hilda Healy, a member of the Ironwood Maine Advisory Council, was recently honored by her community, Auburn, Massachusetts, with the Outstanding Citizenship Award. Healy, a 37-year resident of Auburn, has been an active volunteer in numerous community organizations, most notably at the Auburn Youth and Family Services where she sits on the Board of Directors. As a member of that Board, Healy has been instrumental in raising funds annually for the children and needy families.

Healy also launched a “Breakfast with Santa” program, drawing numerous families to the now yearly holiday event. Healy continues in her endeavors to give back to the community, participating in fundraising campaigns for the Worcester Mercy Centre, an organization dedicated to meeting the needs of the poor, homeless and the infirm and to enhance the quality of life for all.

“Ironwood Maine is fortunate to have Hilda serve on the Advisory Council,” said Marion Rodrigue, Ironwood Maine’s President and Director. “She has dedicated her life to helping people who have great needs, and her insight is a valuable asset to the Council.”
