SkyMiles members can earn miles for aerial sightseeing tours

ATLANTA, March 2, 2006 – Delta Air Lines and Scenic Airlines have launched a partnership that will give SkyMiles® members the chance to earn miles while exploring the Grand Canyon and other sites in the Southwestern United States. The agreement allows SkyMiles members to earn up to 6,000 miles for qualifying aerial tours with the Las Vegas-based sightseeing company.

“The partnership between Delta and Scenic Airlines will allow SkyMiles members to earn generous mileage bonuses while exploring one of the most beautiful regions in the United States,” said Jeff Robertson, managing director of the SkyMiles program.

Scenic Airlines has operated since 1967, carrying approximately 300,000 people each year. While in flight, passengers catch a bird’s-eye view of the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, the Colorado River and the city of Las Vegas.

“Scenic Airlines looks forward to providing SkyMiles members with a unique sightseeing experience, outstanding service and bonus SkyMiles,” said Mark Slack, president and CEO of Scenic Airlines.

SkyMiles members must book tours directly through Scenic Airlines and supply their SkyMiles number when making reservations. For reservations call 1-800-634-6801 or visit www.scenic.com/saws1_delta_skymiles.htm.

Delta SkyMiles members earn miles by flying Delta, Song®, Delta Shuttle®, the Delta Connection carriers, Delta AirElite and Delta’s SkyTeam® partners. The SkyMiles program offers additional mileage-building opportunities through partners such as the Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express, SkyMilesShopping.com, participating hotels, car rental companies, telecommunication services, restaurants, floral and gift retailers and financial, mortgage and realty services. Now in its 25th year, the SkyMiles program was recently named “Best Frequent Flyer Program” by Travel Savvy magazine in a survey that included all global and domestic loyalty programs. The airline will offer an array of exciting programs, promotions and benefits as Delta celebrates the silver anniversary of its frequent flyer program in 2006.
