Wolf Creek Academy Honors its 2009 Graduates

WEBWIRE

Mars Hill, NC -- Wolf Creek Academy, an emotional growth school for at-risk teens, is pleased to announce that a large number of its 2009 graduating class are now enrolled at colleges and universities around the country. Seven students from last year’s class are now attending continuing education schools and three others have plans to do so.

“We congratulate these students on a job well done,” said Dr. Patricia Jones, founder of North Carolina-based Wolf Creek Academy.

“We’re looking forward to hearing further good news about their accomplishments as they begin their entrance into college,” she added.

Wolf Creek Academy’s 2009 graduates now enrolled in a college or university include:

1. Jaime D. (AB Tech College, North Carolina)
2. Kevin G. (Radford University, Virginia)
3. Dakota J. (St. Petersburg College, Florida)
4. Amanda M. (Mars Hill College, North Carolina)
5. Alexander R. (Mars Hill College, North Carolina)
6. Beverly R. (Bossier Community College, Louisiana)
7. Luke S. (Fairfax Community College, Virginia)

Wolf Creek Academy hopes that these achievements will help dispel the myth that boarding school attendees do not have the same opportunity as traditional students once graduating.

“Parents of at-risk teens need to know there is hope, as evidenced in our 2009 graduating class,” noted Jones. “In a time when many adolescents could easily give up and possibly drop out or even settle with obtaining only a GED, these students have worked diligently to achieve their goals.”
