EMLab P&K Passes Legionella Testing Proficiency, Becomes CDC ELITE Member

San Bruno, CA – EMLab P&K’s main laboratories pass CDC’s proficiency requirements for Legionella testing and analysis, achieving CDC ELITE member status. EMLab P&K receives certificate of proficiency for CDC’s Environmental Legionella Isolation Techniques Evaluation (ELITE) program. All three of EMLab P&K’s main laboratories achieved the distinction as member of CDC ELITE, including in San Bruno, CA, Phoenix, AZ and Cherry Hill, NJ.

CDC ELITE is the first proficiency testing program in the United States for environmental laboratories to test their Legionella isolation techniques against standardized samples. The goal of the ELITE program is to ensure that industry practices achieve the highest standards and reliability. The ELITE program grades laboratories for correctly identifying, quantifying, and serotyping Legionella samples.
