New partnership strengthens Delta TechOps’ maintenance position in Asia

ATLANTA – Delta Air Lines’ (NYSE: DAL) maintenance division, Delta TechOps, today announced it has penned a three-year maintenance contract with Taiwan-based EVA Airways and its subsidiary, UNI Air.

Delta TechOps will partner with Evergreen Aviation Technologies (EGAT), which provides comprehensive maintenance to both EVA and UNI, to provide a component services solution for EVA’s Boeing 747 aircraft and UNI’s McDonnell Douglas 90 aircraft.

”This partnership combined with Delta’s expanded maintenance capabilities and increased global footprint will help Delta TechOps bolster its maintenance repair and overhaul presence in Asia,” said Tony Charaf, president of Delta TechOps.

“This agreement with Delta TechOps provides us with a one-stop-shop for component services on our MD90 and B747 aircraft,” said Kris Kuo, executive vice president of EVA. “We value their commitment to safety and believe their extensive maintenance repair and overhaul expertise will serve EVA very well, and will strongly complement the service solutions managed by our affiliate Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corporation.”
