Eventus Training & Events Determines Teamwork Is Key To Success

Team building events company Managing Director, Philip England attributes his latest challenge to successful team working. He has just completed arguably the biggest physical challenge known to British athletes and fell runners - the Bob Graham Round of 42 of the highest mountains in England, involving over 27,000 feet of ascent (nearly the height of Everest) and 27,000 feet of steep descent, covering 66 miles in less than 24 hours. The attempt has to be registered and witnessed and only around 1500 people have ever completed this challenge since the first attempt in 1932. Philip completed his run in 23 hours and 28 minutes and attributes his success to building an outstanding team of supporters around him who worked around the 24 hour clock to feed, water and encourage him when the going got really tough. Phil said “It was a classic lesson in team working. I have dreamt about doing this for years and I could not have done this without the encouragement and back-up support from the people who gave up their time to help me. I am truly grateful”. Phil has put his efforts to good cause and is raising funds for “The Make-a-Wish Foundation”

Phil is no stranger to challenges. He beat his own battle with cancer 10 years ago and competes every year in the gruelling Original Mountain Marathon. Last year he was hailed a hero after a dramatic rescue in the flood abandoned event.
