Honda Receive Yet Another NCAP 5-Star Safety Rating
The Honda Insight - Honda’s latest hybrid vehicle - has been awarded the maximum 5-Star safety rating by NCA.
Euro NCAP’s new assessment, introduced in February 2009, shows Honda’s commitment to car safety, a consequence of the Japanese car manufacturers’ intricate safety testing programme that undertakes thorough research at the Honda R&D plant in Tochigi.
Euro NCAP commended Honda for their innovative safety testing. Secretary General of Euro NCAP, Dr Michiel Van Ratingen, stated: ’The technology and know-how is out there for carmakers to deliver vehicles with better pedestrian protection.
’Honda and Toyota are giving us a glimpse of the cars of the future that consider the natural and social environment in its entirety.’
This marks the fourth Honda vehicle to receive a 5-star NCAP safety rating in the past six months, with the Accord, Jazz and Civic all receiving the highest safety rating.
