1 March 2006, The deal between Kemira Oyj and the German company Lanxess AG on the acquisition of Lanxess’ Paper business unit announced in December 2005 has now almost reached closing. The responsible competition authorities have agreed the transaction and the planned take over of the business by Kemira will take place on April 1, 2006.

The main range of Lanxess’ products consists of colourants, fluorescent whitening agents and sizing agents.
