Veteran Austin Realtors Return to Roots

Austin Realtors Steve and Sylvia Crossland know what it’s like to run a small real estate Brokerage. They started Crossland Real Estate in 1993 from their kitchen table, and the duo operated as a small residential sales and property management Brokerage for 11 years in Austin.

But after being affiliated with the Southwest Market Center at Keller Williams Realty in Austin TX for the past 4 years, they’ve also experienced what it’s like to operate out of the largest real estate office in the world. The South Austin office of Keller Williams has almost 600 Realtors.

Steve and Sylvia recently announced their return to the small Broker setup, leaving Keller Williams to once again operate independently as Crossland Real Estate.

“It’s been a great 4 years at Keller Williams. I don’t believe Sylvia and I would be the caliber of Realtors we’ve become had we not done our 4 year stint at Keller Williams.” said Steve in his announcement of the move on the popular Crossland Team blog.

Steve and Sylvia plan to scale back their sales production and focus more on what they started out doing, which is providing property management services to Austin investors and absentee owners. They’ll also focus more on listing homes for sellers and less on buyer representation.

“The plan is to continue building our investment portfolio of managed properties, and focus more on listings and less on buyers. That doesn’t mean we won’t help buyers – we love working with buyers – but we will scale back on the number of buyers we work with”, said Steve.
