David Hand Productions, announces the formation of a new Animated Film Studio, located in Denver, Colorado.

DENVER, COLORADO (August 18, 2009) - David Hand Productions and Little Wolf Pictures, have joined together to produce a series of family oriented, animated films based upon established characters of animated film pioneer, David D. Hand, who was Supervising Director of SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS, and BAMBI as well as more than 80 others while at the DISNEY STUDIOS. David Hand was also Production Supervisor of the studio for 13 years, answering only to Walt Disney.

The original ANIMALAND films, were produced in a Joint Venture with the British film giant, J. Arthur Rank and their films have been in worldwide distribution with Image Entertainment, Turner Broadcasting and the Disney Channel.

“Movies” are one of the most economical forms of entertainment, especially today in this time of economic concern. The Animated film business has grown more than 200% over the past ten years, and last year (2008), animated films grossed in excess of $1.265 billion. Quality films have the opportunity of making 300% to 1,000% profits. An ancillary benefit of the films is the Consumer Products Market, which can generate as much profit as the film itself.

“The film production unit is made up of experienced animators, directors and production people, and will utilize resources world wide,” states Producer, David Hale Hand. He further notes that there is great need for cartoons. Existing cartoons fill only about 20% of the market. The studio plan is to expand, create new story lines and new characters, guided by the marketing research relative to the animation oriented audiences. The goal is to produce films for the young and young of heart, of all ages.

An important goal is to expand the animated film industry in the Denver, Colorado area. It will provide important employment and enhance the economic potentials of the State.
