George Gilder, Author of "The Israel Test", Interviewed on TV and Internet’s "Spirit of the Berkshires"

Noted social commentator, author, and technology expert, George Gilder, the author of “The Israel Test”, can be seen on ’Spirit of the Berkshires’, a new weekly television series produced at CTSB-TV in South Lee, Massachusetts, which is shown throughout western Massachusetts and is also available on the Internet at http://www.andrewcort.com/spirit.html .

According to the show’s host, Andrew Cort, “George Gilder notes that every religion and every nation understands that we must help the poor and downtrodden. But the real moral issue that confronts us today is the question of how we treat excellence and achievement: Do we admire it and try to emulate it, or do we envy it and resent it? This is the ‘Test’ we each must take. Gilder calls it ‘The Israel Test’ because Israel today is the epitome of intellectual, scientific, and entrepreneurial success, and Gilder believes that contemporary anti-Semitism is essentially the result of resentment toward that nation’s achievements.”

During the Interview, Gilder and Cort discuss the politics, economics, and history of the Middle East. Gilder’s views on the PLO, and on what foreign policy stance the United States ought to take, provides a daring challenge to the liberal viewpoint.
