EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - The Eden Prairie office of CIGNA will recruit approximately 180 new employees over the next few months, boosting the company’s local workforce by more than 20 percent.

The company is seeking nurses, behavioral clinicians, health educators, personal advocates and wellness coaches to support rapid growth in the company’s Integrated Personal Health Team and its new Chronic Condition Support program.

“Our clients see great value in our personalized approach to health improvement,” said Jodi Prohofsky, senior vice president of health solutions operations for CIGNA. “To meet the strong demand for our new programs, we need to ramp up hiring. We’re fortunate that there’s so much talent to draw from in the Twin Cities area.”

CIGNA (NYSE:CI) bases its behavioral health business and its employee assistance, disease management, health coaching and wellness programs in Eden Prairie, where it now employs approximately 750 people.

Introduced earlier this year, the Integrated Personal Health Team is a “one stop shopping” experience that combines behavioral health care, lifestyle management programs, case management, disease management, health coaching and employee assistance programs under one roof with a single point of contact for individuals. The Chronic Condition Support program draws on CIGNA’s clinical expertise and unique coaching methodology to help people with chronic health conditions manage them better.

Health care professionals interested in a position at CIGNA can attend an open house Thursday, Aug. 13, between 3 and 7 p.m. at 11095 Viking Drive, suite 155, in Eden Prairie.
