President Čeferin greets Icelandic FA President
The president of the Football Association of Iceland (KSÍ) was hosted at UEFA headquarters in Nyon by UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin.
UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin hosted new president of the Football Association of Iceland (KSÍ) at UEFA headquarters in Nyon this week.
Thorvaldur Örlygsson, who was elected KSÍ president in February, joined UEFA President Čeferin in Nyon on Wednesday to discuss collaboration between the two organisations, as well as touching on the support offered by UEFA for smaller national associations via the UEFA HatTrick programme.
In Iceland, HatTrick funding has recently contributed to the KSÍ’s drive to recruit more referees where a campaign involving the nation’s president, prime minister, former players and local celebrities has brought messages of positive behaviour and gratitude towards match officials.
