Darnice Harrison’s Personal Testimony of Hearing the Voice of God Amidst Family Tragedy Slated for LATFOB 2024 Exhibit

Not every new publication at the L.A. Times Festival of Books 2024 is there to be a bestseller. Sometimes, there are authors who just want to provide a testimony of their spiritual life and share their strong faith convictions. That goes especially for those like Darnice Harrison, whose book, “My Journey, My Los Man,” is simply a written account of her religious experiences amidst family tragedy that left her son comatose.

“God still talks to His children and I am a true witness.”

Like many major book publishing events, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is expected to feature dozens of new titles. These cover a wide range of topics and genres. And likewise, the authors behind them have a wide range of goals besides becoming trending best-sellers.

In fact, many of them are like Darnice Harrison, who published their book for the simple reason of offering faith testimony about a particularly extraordinary moment of their life.

Darnice is the author of “My Journey, My Los Man,” a spiritual Christian book that details Harrison’s account of hearing the voice of God during a tragic chapter in her life.

In 2017, she received the shocking news that her son was in a horrific car accident. In one night, she went from being a mother of a promising college basketball player to a mother of a grievously injured, comatose crash victim.

It was at this moment that Harrison, a long-time woman of faith, felt forced to lean on all she knew and started praying harder than she ever did before. The book describes how her heart mind and soul reached out to Almighty God, begging for His guidance.

“My Journey, My Los Man” then goes on to describe how this faith continued to be both strengthened and tested amidst this tragedy. Yet, in the end, it tells readers about just how real God has been for Darnice and how He mended her back together with a comfort only He could provide.

Any reader eager to read a testimony from a woman of faith can find “My Journey, My Los Man” displayed at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet’s exhibit at the 2024 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at booth #225. The festival is scheduled to take place on April 20-21, 2024, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA.
