Rossana Snee Brings Back Dramatic Teen Romance in Book Slated for Exhibit at the L.A. Times Festival of Books 2024

Readers and writers alike will soon be gathering at the 2024 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books in search of any new story that will spark their imaginations. While there will definitely be plenty of exhibited books with exciting new ideas, others hope to entice readers by bringing back familiar storylines enhanced for younger (but not excluding older) reading audiences.

That’s certainly what Rossana Snee is trying to do with her book “Papi, Por Favor!” a YA novel about a teenage girl torn between her high school crush and an overbearing, overprotective father.

“Papi, Por Favor!” is a story that has just about everything for fans of intriguing, dramatic teen romances. Its main character, Madison, is coming of age and is very keen on her looks and finding love. She’s crushing on pretty boy celebs and local cuties too. Meanwhile, her father is every bit as protective and traditional as they go, and strict about reinforcing a no-dating policy. Other characters throw their own intrigue into the mix, from her adoptive twin sisters to well-meaning best friends, as well as other equally obsessed love rivals.

Breaking into the YA genre, Rossana Snee hopes to draw on her background as a therapist to give a unique take on the YA romance formula. Readers who’d like to check out “Papi, Por Favor!” can find the book on display at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet’s exhibit during the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2024 at booth #225. The book festival is scheduled for April 20-21, 2024, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
