American Express Continues to Grow Global Network, Sets Sights on Caribbean

The American Express network powers billions of transactions globally. It connects the dots between Card Members, merchants, and our bank partners, with a continually expanding reach.

Global Amex acceptance now spans more than 89 million locations, marking a more than threefold increase in international acceptance since 2017. This growth is fueled, in part, by network partners in countries including Nigeria, Vietnam, South Africa, South Korea and Brazil, among others.

Next on the agenda for American Express is the Caribbean.

“Last year, tens of millions of travelers chose the Caribbean Islands as their destination. Wherever our Card Members go, Amex should be there,” said Mohammed Badi, President, Global Network Services. “We have great partnerships that bring the brand to life all over the world, and our Card Members want to use Amex for their flight, at their hotel, to explore the local area, and everywhere in between.”
