“Delightful fantasy tale that any kid would love! Beautifully written and illustrated. A winner!” – Jennyb

“Fairies and Dragons” by Nancy Benson will be displayed at The American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference and Exhibition on June 23-28, 2022, in Washington D.C.

This is a children’s fantasy book about a lost baby dragon who ends up in a magical place far away from everywhere and everyone; this place is the land of tiny fairies.

No one can ever enumerate all the numerous sorts of fairies. To maintain the land of fairies, secure and magical, each fairy had a specific role to play. They stayed awake from when the sun came up and fell fast asleep when the moon was high.

During a practice session with her wand and fairy dust, Sylvie, a young fairy, was distracted by the sound of an animal’s screams in the enchanted pond. It took her a while to comprehend what she saw as she searched for an answer. When it emerged from the water, it appeared to be a baby dragon.

The teeny-tiny fairies look after the baby dragon and guide him so that he can find his way back to his own home. He makes new friends and learns an important lesson, which is that it is possible for dragons and fairies to get along and coexist peacefully, despite the vast differences between the two.

This book is a good read for children because it is enjoyable and gives a great example of setting differences aside. It will also stimulate children’s imaginations and social development, which they will carry with them throughout their future.
