Author MJ Washington’s Book Demonstrates the Importance of Achieving a Calm Mindset in the Eye of the Storm

Bowie, MD and Miami, FL – WEBWIRE

The author’s objective in this book is to provide vivid details of his life’s journey showing how he accomplished peace despite his struggles and challenges. The book has a unique take in the first two chapters for the readers by establishing methods for peace.

Crucial elements in Washington’s story captures the importance of maintaining a positive attitude during bad times, spreading compassion even when undeserved, but most importantly, putting faith in Jesus Christ. He is well-versed with “the bad and ugly tremors of life that no one wants:” In his memoir, Washington battled a drug addiction; buried a son whom he had abandoned for many years; his dreams of being an accomplished musician was unfulfilled; and climbed the corporate ladder of success while riddled with racial prejudice. Read the book to find out how he deals with these trying times.

A sobering thought for readers is that the author candidly and unabashedly acknowledges his flaws and faults. Washington, who admits not having it altogether, believes his faith, the grace afforded him, and his persevering optimism allowed him to maintain contentment.

After a series of trials, a career in meteorology, forty years of marriage, and raising three successful children, the author earned the right to pass his wisdom, knowledge and the Christian faith. His head-on encounters with prejudice and his cool, modest disposition to others expounds the narrative. Readers will appreciate this inspiring outlook on life with enduring patience, forgiveness, perseverance, and faith.
