Riding for Standing Construct KTM, Max Anstie produced an impressive display to secure victory in race 2 of the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship (MXGP) of Belgium and the first for the team with Dunlop tyres.

Born in Winchester, UK, Anstie looked in imperious form all weekend, winning the qualifying race and then battling his way to victory in race 2 to celebrate his first-ever MXGP race win. Anstie’s teammate and fellow Dunlop rider Glenn Coldenhoff showed similar pace finishing third overall after scoring a double podium result.

Having switched to Dunlop at the start of the year, Standing Construct KTM was able to utilise the Dunlop MXGP tyre range to best effect in Lommel. Having been designed to cope with soft, mud and intermediate terrain, the Dunlop Geomax range’s versatility has given the team the confidence that the rider will have the grip and comfort to challenge at the sharp end.

Eddy Seel, Dunlop MXGP Race Coordinator said: “Standing Construct KTM was very happy with the tyre throughout the weekend, Coldenhoff and Anstie proved that tyre was able to perform on the sand.

“Dunlop’s MXGP tyre technology has been designed to give riders sustainability, more control and more grip. The tyre range has been created to suit all conditions and demands, Dunlop’s cornering block technology and advanced apex design have been developed to improve comfort and cornering ability.”

As well as a strong result in MXGP, Dunlop rider Ben Watson finished third overall in the MX2 class riding for the Kemea Yamaha Racing Team.

The next race of the 2019 MXGP season comes from Italy, Imola on 18 August.
