CoPro’s designated director Osnat Eden looks back at over 14 years worth of experience in the television industry and was previously the Head of Acquisitions at Israel’s new public broadcaster KAN. Before joining KAN, she was Head of Documentary Acquisitions for yesDocu at yes-DBS Satellite Services. Osnat has also previously participated in the decision maker panels at IDFA, Sheffield, Docs Barcelona, Lisbon Docs and Asian Side of the Docs documentary festivals.

“After the passing of Orna, we searched for the most qualified candidate with a vast experience in the local and international documentary market, as well as in TV and digital media,” says Dan Lahat, CoPro’s Chairperson. “We met with many suitable candidates and decided that Osnat’s experience and personality are the best match to fill the big shoes of Orna Yarmut.”

Orna Yarmut, Founding Director of CoPro - Documentary and Animation Marketing Foundation, has been considered for many years the leading figure in Israel in promoting documentary work, and a central anchor in the Israeli documentary film revolution, which has become a worldwide name on the international cinema circuit.

CoPro - Documentary and Animation Marketing Foundation has been promoting and marketing the Israeli documentary films outside of Israel since 1999. Its primary goal is to promote collaborations between Israeli filmmakers and their counterparts abroad. Among the projects it cultivated are Academy Award® nominee Five Broken Cameras (2013), National Board of Review Top Five Documentaries Award recipient A Film Unfinished (2010) and many Best Documentary Award winners chosen by the Israeli Film Academy.
